Thiara Herrera Leiva, MDiv Student
Thiara is a writer, creative theologian, and ministry leader passionate about the intersections of spirituality, beauty, hospitality, ancestral wisdom, and justice. Currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary, she integrates theology, story, and the arts to cultivate spaces where faith and creativity meet and all can flourish and belong.
Her formation has been shaped by a lifelong love of storytelling, a commitment to community building. She has served in worship planning, teaching, and spiritual formation roles, where she brings an embodied and invitational approach to liturgy, weaving together diverse traditions and voices.
Thiara’s work explores themes of identity, generativity, and the pursuit of wholeness, drawing from her own experience as a bicultural Latina international student navigating faith and culture. She is especially passionate about curating spaces of radical welcome and helping others encounter God through embodied, imaginative joyous practices.
Thiara seeks to inspire others toward beauty, belonging, and justice rooted in Christ.
