I painted 'AIDS Madonna' in 2007. It is strongly influenced by the work of 14th c. Italian painter Carlo Crivelli. The Madonna's robes are embroidered with the ribbons of AIDS remembrance, declaring my own hope and prayers for an end to this, our plague, which is devastating our human family today.
