The Visible Word:
Works by Past and Present Artists-in-Residence
August 27 - October 5, 2001
September 27-29, the Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and
Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary will be hosting "Trust the Arts to
Speak," a symposium about the expression of the imagination in the context
of theological education. Representatives from theological schools across the
country will gather for three days to learn about and discuss the ways in which
the arts are an integral part of theological education.
In connection with this symposium, the Dadian Gallery
presents a group exhibition entitled "The Visible Word," a showcase of
works by current and former participants in the Center’s Artist-in-Residence program.
Artists-in-Residence have been invited to submit recent works which fits
the general theme of God’s self-revelation to humankind.
